Educational Qualification
- MBBS degree or possession of a recognized Graduate Medical Qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part-II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
- Candidates holding qualifications included in Part-II of the Third Schedule must fulfill conditions prescribed under Section 13(3) of the IMC Act, 1956.

Selection Process
- Written Examination (MCQ based).
- The exam will consist of 100 questions to be solved in 120 minutes.
- Standard of questions will be similar to NEET-PG level.
- Negative Marking: 0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer.

Service Conditions
- Selected candidates must serve in peripheral and far-flung areas of Jammu & Kashmir.
- Continuation of PG courses or Senior Residency is not permitted after selection.
- A one-time option will be given to accept the post or continue current PG/tenure.
