Educational Qualification (Post-wise)
- Trade Apprentice (ITI): Matriculation with relevant ITI trade (NCVT/SCVT).
- Technician Apprentice: 3-year Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Civil / Instrumentation / Electronics).
- Graduate Apprentice: Full-time Graduate Degree (BA / BBA / B.Com / B.Sc).
- Minimum marks: 50% (45% for SC/ST/PwBD).
- Qualification must be obtained through regular full-time mode only.
Age Limit (as on 31-12-2025)
- General / EWS: 18 – 24 years
- OBC-NCL: 18 – 27 years
- SC / ST: 18 – 29 years

Stipend / Salary Structure
- Graduate Apprentice: Rs. 4,500 (BOAT) + balance by IOCL + Rs. 2,500 miscellaneous
- Technician Apprentice: Rs. 4,000 (BOAT) + balance by IOCL + Rs. 2,500 miscellaneous
- Trade Apprentice: As per Apprentices Act + Rs. 2,500 miscellaneous
- Payment through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT)
