HAL Apprentices Notification 2026
Eligibility Criteria
ITI Trade Apprentices
- Passed 10th class or equivalent.
- Completed prescribed full-time ITI training (1 or 2 years) under NCVT or SCVT.
- ITI pass-out year must be 2023, 2024, or 2025.
- Must possess ITI pass certificate at the time of application.
- Appearing / result awaited / back paper candidates are not eligible.
Vocational (10+2) Apprentices
- Passed Intermediate (12th) with relevant Vocational Trade.
- Pass-out year must be 2023, 2024, or 2025.
General Conditions
- Candidates who have already completed or are pursuing Apprenticeship Training are not eligible.
- Students of COE (Centre of Excellence) courses are not eligible.
- Only Indian Nationals can apply.
Age Limit (as on 31 January 2026)
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 27 years
- Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST – 5 years
- OBC (NCL) – 3 years
- PWD – 10 years (in respective category)
Salary / Stipend
Selected apprentices will be paid stipend strictly as per the provisions of the Apprenticeship Act, 1961 and rules framed thereunder.

Selection Process
- Selection will be purely merit-based.
- Merit will be calculated as:
- 70% weightage – High School (10th) marks
- 30% weightage – ITI marks / Vocational subject marks
- For CGPA results, percentage conversion as certified by the board will be used.
- No rounding-off of marks is allowed.
General Instructions
- Reservation applicable as per Government of India and HAL rules.
- EWS certificate must be issued on or after 01-04-2025.
- OBC (NCL) certificate must be issued on or after 01-04-2023.
- ITI candidates must be registered on apprenticeshipindia.gov.in.
- Vocational candidates must be registered with RDSDE, Kanpur.
- Training duration is one year.
- No TA/DA will be paid.
- HAL reserves the right to cancel the recruitment at any stage.
