Introduction

The Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (CGPSC) has released the official notification for the State Services Examination 2025 to fill 265 vacancies including Labour Officer, Assistant Jail Superintendent, Deputy Collector, DSP, Nayab Tehsildar and other Group A & B posts. Eligible candidates with a graduate degree can apply online from 01 December 2025 to 30 December 2025 through the official website psc.cg.gov.in.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidate must be a citizen of India.
  • Must possess a graduate degree from a recognized University.
  • Final year students may apply for Preliminary Examination.
  • Professional/technical qualifications recognized as equivalent by CG Government are valid.
  • For reservation benefits, candidate must be a local resident of Chhattisgarh.
  • Physical standards apply for posts like DSP, Excise Officer, Assistant Jail Superintendent.

Age Limit (as on 01-01-2025)

  • General Posts: 21 to 30 years
  • DSP (Police Service): 21 to 28 years
  • Chhattisgarh Residents: Upper age up to 35 years
  • Maximum Age (including relaxations): 45 years
  • PwBD candidates get 5 years relaxation as per RPwD Act.

Salary Structure

  • Level-12: Rs. 56,100/- per month
  • Level-9: Rs. 38,100/- per month
  • Level-8: Rs. 35,400/- per month
  • Level-7: Rs. 28,700/- per month
  • Level-6: Rs. 25,300/- per month
  • DA, HRA, TA and other allowances as per state rules.

Selection Process

  1. Preliminary Examination: GS Paper I + Aptitude Paper II (Objective)
  2. Main Examination: 7 Descriptive Papers (1400 Marks)
  3. Interview / Personality Test: 100 Marks

Prelims is qualifying only. Final merit is based on Mains + Interview.
