Educational Qualification

  • MBBS degree or possession of a recognized Graduate Medical Qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part-II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
  • Candidates holding qualifications included in Part-II of the Third Schedule must fulfill conditions prescribed under Section 13(3) of the IMC Act, 1956.

Selection Process

  1. Written Examination (MCQ based).
  2. The exam will consist of 100 questions to be solved in 120 minutes.
  3. Standard of questions will be similar to NEET-PG level.
  4. Negative Marking: 0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer.
  5. No penalty for unanswered questions.

Service Conditions

  • Selected candidates must serve in peripheral and far-flung areas of Jammu & Kashmir.
  • Continuation of PG courses or Senior Residency is not permitted after selection.
  • A one-time option will be given to accept the post or continue current PG/tenure.
