Eligibility Criteria
- Citizenship: Candidate must be a citizen of India.
- Educational Qualification: Any one of the following: – Higher Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education. – Higher Secondary with at least 45% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (as per NCTE regulations). – Higher Secondary with at least 50% marks and a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.). – Higher Secondary with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education). – Graduation with a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
- TET Qualification: Must have qualified for the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) conducted by WBBPE as per NCTE rules.
- Age Limit: 18 to 40 years as on 01-01-2025. Age relaxation applicable for SC/ST/OBC(A&B)/PwD/Ex-Servicemen/Para Teachers as per rules.
